WHAT DO WE BELIEVE?
As members of The Satanic Temple, our beliefs are centered around the Seven Fundamental Tenets.
I. One should strive to act with compassion and empathy toward all creatures in accordance with reason.
II. The struggle for justice is an ongoing and necessary pursuit that should prevail over laws and institutions.
III. One’s body is inviolable, subject to one’s own will alone.
V. Beliefs should conform to one’s best scientific understanding of the world. One should take care never to distort scientific facts to fit one’s beliefs.
VI. People are fallible. If one makes a mistake, one should do one’s best to rectify it and resolve any harm that might have been caused.
VII. Every tenet is a guiding principle designed to inspire nobility in action and thought. The spirit of compassion, wisdom, and justice should always prevail over the written or spoken word.
Upon the formation of Satanic Delco, some of our earliest conversations were about using our numbers to benefit our community, while simultaneously raising awareness of Satanism, TST, and Satanic Delco.
Our first successful charitable campaign took place in the Summer of 2020 when we initiated our To Hell with Homelessness campaign. We collected a stockpile of vital, needed items, compiled them into individual care packages, and delivered them to the homeless population of Delaware County.
The success of this campaign gave us valuable experience and confidence in our abilities to serve our community. As we move forward we will continue to use our power to benefit those in need, because “thoughts and prayers” just don’t seem to be getting the job done.
